Excel Nursing home
is a premier, certified, in-house and day care facility located in May Pen Clarendon that caters for the elderly, ill, infirm and physically/mentally challenged; while providing long and short term stay at reasonable and competitive rate.

Excel nursing Home offers spacious accommodation and the highest quality medical, nursing, and residential care. The facility includes private and shared rooms, 24 hours nursing care, medical doctor on call, weekly doctor’s visit as well as regular and special meals, entertainment, occupational therapy and much more.

What we do

Our spectrum of care includes residential, short stay/ temporary  (while you go on vacation or take a trip or a night out), or day care.  We provide surgical and special beds.  A chair lift is available.  Discuss your special needs with us and we will make every effort to accommodate each applicant.

We offer recreational  and  therapeutic  activities and encourage social and family gatherings, and we acknowledge and celebrate birthdays and special events. We provide laundry and housekeeping services.

The Doctor in charge

Dr. Marjorie Vassell 
is a general medical practitioner with more than twenty years of experience, both locally and overseas. She has worked in Hospital and Clinic settings. Presently she is involved in private, holistic practice, focusing on health and wellness and prevention of disease;  providing general, primary medical care for all  age groups...infant to elderly. 

She is dedicated to contribute to the reduction of obesity and overweight,  ( weight management ),  promotion of good health and the reduction in the incidence and/ or severity of chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension.  A special area of interest is care of the elderly with the aim of maintaining their optimum health, (mentally and physically), as well  as supporting an active, enjoyable, fun filled lifestyle

Those for whom we cater.

Our residents range from disabled- physically or mentally, recuperating  post  surgery,  post stroke  etc, chronic illnesses,  Alzheimer’s,  Dementia,  Parkinson’s, bed ridden or simply aging and requiring assistance to do so gracefully. Generally any who needs first class home care  away from home. We welcome and encourage you to contact us. Come and tour our facilities, have a chat with residents and/or staff or our very competent and  available manager.

Feeding & Nutrition

We offer three nutritious and enticing meals daily with special diet provisions and nutritional monitoring as prescribed by the residents’ needs.

Accreditation

We are fully accredited with the Ministry of Health. Fire safety and evacuation trained staff.

Health Care

Each resident   has  a  fortnightly or monthly medical examination conversant with  individual need ,  by our medical doctor who is also available on call, as required.
Competent and caring nursing services are provided by a skilled and experienced staff of well  trained and experienced practical nurses, supervised by a registered nurse.
